So apparently kissing in public in Tangerang, Indonesia  is ok as long as you keep it to five minute make-out sessions.
Actually, I don't mind this rule too much. I mean, it would reduce the number of over-affectionate, saccharine couples I have to watch. (Yes, Frank, I'm talking to you. And Ali. And Paula.) The whole get a room thing.

[livejournal.com profile] nhw  points out that [livejournal.com profile] daegaer has some good stuff! about the Gospel of Judas.
From the National Geographic article:

As told in the New Testament Gospels, Judas betrayed Jesus for "30 pieces of silver," identifying him with a kiss in front of Roman soldiers. Later the guilt-ridden Judas returns the bribe and commits suicide, according to the Bible.
What the Gospel of Judas says )

But my favorite part? "Scholars say the text not only offers an alternative view of the relationship between Jesus and Judas but also illustrates the diversity of opinion in the early Christian church."
Seriously, betray somebody with a kiss and the slash just writes itself. It is a good thing I'm going to hell anyway. Anyway, Matthew 26:49 amakes me happy:
And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
Oddly enough, the Skeptic's Annotated Bible is the easiest to browse through. It doesn't have search, but the links are very user friendly.
