Like A Prayer

I'm a bit confused about why everybody is so preoccupied about the fact that prayer does not help heart problems. I mean, even if it did, I don't think beginning to pray because of heart problems would be sincere enough to have an effect.
Still. Never let it be said that I haven't jumped on the bandwagon and linked to the article.
Also, I have a google page, but I have yet do do anything with it. Google Pages isn't actually that good, but if you want 100 MB free hosting, go get one.

I'm one of everybody. It's interesting because of all that hoolabaloo in the Christian press whenever these two things have happened at the same time: A) Someone has recovered from some disease, and B) Someone else had prayed for this recoveree. They take it as "proof of faith". Now, the opposite ain't a "proof of unfaith", but at least it may give us some pleasure to rub the claims back in their faces.

By all means, when people keep their religion peacefully to themselves, I have no problem with it. But the thing about religion - at least certain religions - is that they are mind viruses that make the diseased prone to run around wanting to apply that religion to the affairs of other people. North Dakotan abortion laws, sharia, whatnot. So ...

Argh, I'm already pissed thinking about it. *smoothes ruffles* I'm beginning to think the second best word to induce mass hysteria next to "bomb," "terrorist" and "Arab" will be "atheism." The discrimination against atheists really gets me.
